Hello All. My name is Larry and I am the owner of NWI DETECTORS in Valparaiso. I've been detecting since 1971 and I use many detectors with my 3 main detectors being the Explorer 2, Etrac and the F75. Please feel free to visit my website www.nwimetaldetectors.com and let me help you with any detecting products you may need or questions about products.
Looks to be a GREAT forum and thank you Ed for making it!
My name is Nathan and I am as green as they come to this hobby (my Garrett Ace250 is being shipped as we speak!). I am hoping to get out a lot as I work from home and would like to do a lot of hunting before the winter hits. I live in Fort Wayne, IN and am interested in hunting with people in the area. I live on the NE side of town and have a few places staked out to MD after I finish my yard and my mother-in-law's land (in Wabash, IN). There is a railroad that runs behind her property so we are going to work the barn and then the woods and railroad tracks. I look forward to hearing from you all. My email address is: equipmentandstuff@yahoo.com

Hello All. *waves*
Some of you already know me from other MDing sites, for those of you that don't...I go by INDY, I'm married with two kids. I've been detcting since '06, I use an Ace 250 and have done very well so far. I'm really into finding the old coins, but the relics get me just as excited. I'm in north east Indiana , Wabash. And Im always looking for new spots to hunt (aren't we all )
Thanks
Hi, my name is Randy and I used to metal detect years ago. When I retired from UPS I purchased a White's DFX from Larry in Valparaiso. Years ago I used a coin master. My daughter lives in Lowell and it is nice to see there are others nearby that also enjoy metal detecting. I look forward to hearing more about the Duh-tektors. Thanks.
I live in the country south of Wheatfield Indiana. I work as a carpenter at BP in Whiting. I was raised on a farm and live on part of it. I started with a explorer xs then went to a explorer se pro with a sun-ray probe. I have been detecting two years and have found an 1895 barber quarter, 1898 and 1905 barber dime 1925 nickle. I hunt old home sites in the woods. I Found an 1895 and 1898 in the woods found the 1905 and 1925 up town. I'm not good at typing it easyier for me to talk so here is my phone nu. 219-956-3285.
Hello, My name is Joe, I live in LaPorte. I fight forest fires nationally for the National Park Service and have been doing so for 10 years. I have taken place in hurricane clean-up, Floods, rode out Hurricane Rita etc... we are all risk. I have never metal detected before this month, compared to everyone else I have a toy. I was at Menards and bought a Marksman metal detector for the fun of it. I thought it might be fun to see what I could find and found a "rosie" right off the bat and several quarters at the waters edge on the beach(current $). Now I need to upgrade so I can hang with the big dogs. My dad is an avid metal detector and did a lot in the area before he moved to Florida. I hope to learn a lot from you all and look forward to hunting with you.
Hi all. My name is Tim and I'm in Schererville, IN. I'm completely new to the hobby and just received the Ace 250 as a gift. I own a construction company in Gary. My other hobbies are golf, scuba diving, and r/c planes. I hope to gain some knowlege from this site and possibly meet some of you out there!
Well Tim, that is our goal as well! to help you learn you sweet Garrett machine, by the way is a very good machine as a beginner and a backup! the price is low, but it will run deep with the top dollar machines! Garrett hit a homerun with the Ace 250, since you scuba you might want to look into an under water detector in the future. Starting again this spring we will be having once a month group club hunts! its not set in stone yet, but it may start with Marquette Park/Beach! we will have to wait and see how things turn out!!! We are also accepting sites from members for our group club hunts! like church grounds, old farms etc. The member has to aqiure permission from the property owner in writting and they along with the club members that want to particapate will hunt it for the day!!! so do you have any sites that sound good you want to share with your club?
