Hello,Dan,Im just North of you in Hammond.Im new at this also,although i went with my uncle in the 70's,I was a kid and didnt learn much.I have been going out hunting quite a bit lately,but now Im back to work so I have to make time to go.Im getting better at finding stuff though,just got home an hour ago from the soccer field,found a 1945 mercury dime in fine condition 7 in deep.Im ready to go huntin anytime i'm not working,i am hooked again.

Hi John,
I'am ben from grant park. Friday I'll be calling dan to set up a time to detect on sunday, your welcome to join us, I'am sure were going to have a good time. I've got a couple of places in mind, just in case one doesn't pan out. Were going to be in the Hammond area , then the next time we go out I would like you guys to come south by me, it's 40 min from Hammond/ Munster and we could look at old fair park in Kankakee. It's a city park, and used to be the old fair grounds. Thats how it got it's name,(old fair park). I've got plenty of places to dig, from parks to schools to beaches. If your interested let Dan or myself know.
I'am looking forward to this weekend, I hope we can all get together.
