Old lake village Indiana

Has anyone ever hunted the oid lake village, it's south of were the village is now. The last time I was there was 20 years ago. At that time there was about 8 home foundations and a few cellars. The railroad tracks ran north and south just in front of the houses. I know the tracks are still there, but I can't remember the turn off of 41. A couple of years ago I was at uncle johns flee market and found a book about beaver lake and old lake village, I put it down and looked around some, when I came back to buy it , someone else got it. Just wondered if anyone else has ever looked there.

I know where that is, I grew up down the road from that ....its not old Lake Village though its called Conrads, It was built in 1856 or somthing Lake village was already there then. It was around right after they drained beaver lake into the kankakee river. Just got done reading all up on this for a project for school for my son.
