Just bought my whites DFX 300. Im 59 years young. Im taking up metal detecting to help me loose weight. Also to meet people as Im new to this area and I no longer have to work.
Hello Tom, so the Whites is your first Detector Huh? well study it well my friend Read the booklets front to back several times and watch the DVD as well until your sick of it!!!!! I have a hunting Buddy thats been at it for years and still gets stumped by his Whites XLT! myself I run a Garrett Grand Master Hunter CXIII, Check out all the forums our club has to offer! there has to be some good material there you can use! I went out for one last hunt of the year yesterday at Evergreen park! ground was to frozen! but I managed 73¢ at the Tot lot! wood chips are easier to turn over when frozen!LOL! Our club is for everybody! we have both male and female members! we are here to help you as a member to learn what it is your trying to do and to help you learn your machine! Learn that machine!it is the most important part! I bought my first real detector in winter time, not a good time to buy one, you are just raring to go metal detecting! and with a hatchet found my first penny in my parents back yard in the winter at night!!! Coming this spring DUH-TEKTORS will be starting up our monthly group club hunts, we are also throwing around the ideas of having meetings!
