Hunt at a new old park

Greg and I got out today for about 9 HOURS for a little hunt at a park in an area that most folks wont go to but we werent skeered. LOL. We ended up having a pretty good day. I took out my new F75 to give it a whirl. I was kinda disappointed by the depth in discrim mode but the jury is still out on its capabilities. I did find 61 coins in which 15 came from a coin spill and I found my oldest coin yet. It was a 189? V nickel. Greg had a good day too. He beat me on the silver and wheatie count, he kept yelling out wheatie while I was digging f****** bottle caps, LMAO but I ended up with most coins and oldest so it was a draw. LOL. All in all we had a great time and met a few guys that came up to visit. One told us that someone had been to the park about a year ago and hunted some but it so big 10 guys couldnt hunt it well in a day so I figure we still have a few good coins yet to find. TMAN...

Let me guess, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Gary!!!!!!!!!!! Marquett Park perhaps!!!! Its good no one F**KED with you 2 insane monkies!!!! and its great you found some wonderful coins! Now look for the old old trees and then find the places where the old time folks would have picnics, watch ball games etc. Also Bottlebum just bought a F-75 and a Sovergien GT! he is use to a GT but I haven't heard how the F-75 is working out.

Nope another park in Gary. Hell, i will go to marquette by myself. Lots of cops drive by so its cool there. I took the 75 yesterday to try it out and to be honest, I wasnt to impressed. Bottlebum and I have had some converstations with some folks at findmall. I took their advice and tried it at a school near me. Still only finding dimes at 4 inches but maybe that will get better as I get used to the tone system. It has 1,2,3,3h,4,4h and multi tones. I think I may settle on the 3h tones, now just to get a little depth and it will be my one and only. The ace is 1.25 pounds lighter but feels heavier due to the poor balance. I swung the 75 all day yesterday and my knees gave out before my arm did. Greg went to a meeting today and is gonna talk to somebody there that has one. Hopefully I can get some good info. TMAN...

Well Greg and I went back to our new old park today. The area we hit early on was tough. It looked like it was back filled. Greg said it was and I said awww comeon well that was a nice part of the day wasted. Neither of us had to much to show except for a sterling ring I found. We took a lunch break and went back to the other side. My F75 was still ringing out like a firetruck so I decided to notch out the crap that was killing me. She quited down and got a hit at 7 inches. Dug out a 1903 V nickel and a 1880 Indian head penny. My first. WOOHOO. Greg was still hitting those wheaties like there was no tomorrow. We both got a button each. His was very nice. Mine looked like crap but after getting it home, I could make out a eagle holding an anchor with 13 stars, so it wasnt all bad. All in all another great day hunting. TMAN...

Thanks Ed. Its nice not to be a virgin period. LOL. We came across another site by accident. It was one of the first high schools in gary. It is now long gone but the land is ready to be hunted including an old football field. TMAN...

Hey TMAN, I have been looking at the F75 for some time. When you get to know it well let me know what you think. I have heard it is a real deep unit. Thanks in advance.

Ron, Thats what I have heard too. I am still learning it but it is so easy to use and even easier to swing. It is the most well balanced machine Ihave ever swung. The Ace250 is lighter by a pound almost and feels almost a pound heavier. I am now starting to get the hang of it. I popped that indian and v nickel out at about 7 inches and its the deepest I have dug so far. The one quirk mine has is the depth meter in pin point is off about 2 inches but I know that now so its no biggie. The other thing I like is that you can fast grab ground balance in discrim. That is always a plus. So far with about 25 hours on it, I am liking what I am seeing. Let me get a few more good days in and hopefully I can give a better answer. TMAN...
